When you answer to somebody’s comment, it is supposed to show up below his or her comment, to form a thread. When I answer to somebody’s comment or follow the commentary of the people I subscribed to, the answers always show up on top of the comment box, like a regular new comment.

I mailed some of the people I have subscribed to and asked them if they were aware of that. Well, it seems like their answers show up below the comment they answered to, as it is supposed to be, I guess.

Does anybody know why I see all the answers to comments on top of the comment box?

it was British personnel from HMS Bulldog who first captured the naval Enigma machine.
we captured this before the yanks were even in the war…

if they had there way they would erase the efforts of Europe especially the UK! As they would like to forget that they only entered the war after Europe was burning and Pearl Harbour was bombed. the fact that they entered the war in 1941 and WW2 broke out in 1939! but they have to rewrite history as they didn’t get in first!

When Haizlip Studio began designing rooms and exhibits for the Children’s Museum of Alamance County last year, it met with numerous interest groups here to gather ideas about what it would include in the 14,000-square-foot museum.

The most important of those focus groups were made up of children 2 to 10 years old — the group they were designing for.

“Over and over again, they kept hearing children say they wanted a place where they could be up high and look down on everything,” says Phoebe Harman, the museum’s board director.

Haizlip Studio’s solution is the Overview Climber — a tier that towers over three-fourths of the museum.

Two suspended climbing platforms that resemble plant stems and leaves sit at each end of the platform. But it’s what’s included on the museum’s second level that ties it into the educational themes anchoring the $3.8-million facility planned for downtown Graham in 2011.

* Windows along its length allow children to see out into the museum’s playground and courtyard.

* Multiple winding hearing tubes let them experiment with the way sound travels — an updated take on the tin-can telephones of old.

* Overlooks, peepholes and portholes allow them to see the museum’s exhibits and rooms from above.

* Periscopes teach children about optics and mirrors and let them see things from even more illuminating angles.

* Other educational activities and games will be placed along the catwalk.

Want to contribute?

The children’s museum needs a total of $3.9 million to open and $2 million to break ground. Including a $1 million matching pledge from the Hayden-Harman Foundation, the museum has raised $1.9 million so far. The museum’s Building Bucks campaign hopes to encourage all Alamance County children to give $2 toward the museum.
