Did you cry watching the Passion Of The Christ?
I didn’t cry. But I can’t stand watching Jesus Christ get beat that part of the movie I can’t watch. Did you cry watching the movie? Don’t lie. Be honest.

I did.

That film was missing some comedic relief near the begining. Not in the middle to kill the suspense. Maybe a fat kid eating an Ice Cream cone in the background would have lightened the tension a bit.
Miss Information | Nov 12, 2009

No, I was absolutely disgusted at the lies in it concerning the Jews. Absolutely disgusted.

Read "The Book" it’s much better
Charlie | Nov 12, 2009

Nope. The scene did get tiresome tho - we get the idea of whats going on there.
Store Brand Mayonnaise | Nov 12, 2009

I laughed a little.
Flying Spaghetti Monster is real | Nov 12, 2009

Nope, I didn’t cry. Though I did get choked up when they showed how sad Mary was while they beat her son. Being a mother, I could relate to her.
That Damned Heathen | Nov 12, 2009

Yes, but at the very end of the movie, I saw Him get up from the tomb and Stood up and Praised Him!!! YAY!!!!
gertystorrud | Nov 12, 2009

I phased in and out while watching that movie but I didn’t cry.
Sarah | Nov 12, 2009

Nope. Not one tear.

Sure, any scene where someone’s being beaten to a bloody pulp is sometimes disturbing, however it is after all, a movie. Why cry?
~~**Ma'iingan**~~ | Nov 12, 2009

never watched it … i really have no desire to watch a man get beaten for two hours in an effort to make me feel guilty …

18 years in the catholic church gave me enough guilt …

Like a baby. The part that got me was when he fell and Mary tried to go to him as she remembered him learning to walk and he fell.
Suzy | Nov 12, 2009

i actually laughed so hard.. i peed a little

Turning a religious moment into a semi-pornographic torture session seems to me reason enough to cry.
Skippy | Nov 12, 2009

I honestly have not seen the movie yet, although I want to. Believing in christianity or not, I cannot imagine that seeing another human being being beaten the way that the movie depicts he was will do anything but bring me to tears. If it doesn’t, I have more issues than not believing in it.
psymistress | Nov 12, 2009

I cry just calling out the name Jesus.
Eza L | Nov 12, 2009

I cried, and for a good portion of the movie I had to cover my eyes like a child! You know, I heard that a woman in Houston actually had a heart attack (but survived) from watching. It was pretty difficult, but that being said, I have watched it twice.
Red Head | Nov 12, 2009

Why would you cry?

It isn’t like the ending was a secret…

(Though I heard the "Alt Ending" on the DVD has him going free and living happily ever after…)
Squeezle | Nov 12, 2009

Warrior For God | Nov 12, 2009

Oh, yeah! As a Catholic, we are taught to honor the Blessed Mother, but I never felt any real connection to her until this movie. My son was just a few months old when I saw it. For the first time, I understood how incredibly painful it was for her to see her son go through all that, knowing he had to but knowing he was innocent. The scene where they were back home and they were playful brought that up. It was so bad that I can never watch it again. It was painful for me to see.
goodluckwithhat | Nov 12, 2009

Sorry, I don’t watch gay BDSM snuff films.
No Not Really | Nov 12, 2009

No. I cringed.

Too violent for me. Crucifixion is one dastardly way to go! Those Romans were sadists to execute so many people that way.
Tyler T | Nov 12, 2009

I’m not a Christian, but no way was I going to watch a religious snuff movie. I don’t even like most of the bloody graphic horror movies either!
Do Not Adjust Your Set….. | Nov 12, 2009

I won’t see it. I already believe it and I think the captions would tick me off.

Honestly speaking, I’ve never seen the movie.
David H | Nov 12, 2009

Never saw it. I’m not into snuff porn.

I can’t believe that some churches were showing it to small children, despite its R rating.
lainiebsky | Nov 12, 2009

No because I know he did it for my salvation and healing.

Sadly the film stops before Pentecost when the benefit started to flow to believers.

Calvary was to enable Pentecost (Galatians 3:13-14).

Have you received the Life (evidenced by speaking in tongues) ?
potentiallywonderful | Nov 12, 2009

No, I did not. I was shocked that the Church encouraged children to witness such a violent and brutal movie. It was not suitable for a younger audience that’s for sure.
Angelia | Nov 12, 2009

I’ve never seen it, but I probably would.

Wall.e made me cry… I mean come on.
