i posted a question about pregnant and taking ty-codein look what happened plz read (serious for moms to be)?
i posted a question last week if tylenol with codeine was safe in pregnancy some people said yes and some said no i presented to my doctor last week friday 11/14 with terrible headaches and she prescribe me tylenol with codeine 30grams in 300 mg tablets i was told it was safe and to take 2 tablets every 4 hours for pain i did as told but only when needed and i was appxt 19 weeks and 3days gestation and they did a scan that exact day and my baby was 100% great so over this weekend that passed i took a total of 4 tablets in a 2 day period after being discharged and my baby died im so depressed and horrid with pain right now my baby needed only 16 more weeks to come into this world on a scheduled c-section at 36 weeks because of a prior c-section i had in 2004 so i urge any pregnant females not to take any medicine this is a lesson i have to learn and it hurts me very much right now,,,,,i birthed my son yesterday at 10:30 a.m dead and went through full induced labor with no pain meds because they told me it was risky since i was also on a blood thinner,,,,i believe my baby would of been here in my tummy today if i would not have taken any codeine tablets and it hurts me so bad please read and pass on i’m going to get a full autopsy of my baby in 4-6 weeks but i know it was this medicine he was my angel and my only son
PROUD ARMY WIFE i am not trying to scare anybody nor would i ever wish this on anybody,,,, since your taking the drug be very careful especially being that your only 10 weeks along im actually doing research on the drug now and it says its totally unsafe your not even 3 months yet imagine i was 5 months thank you everybody

May ur little angel Rest in Peace. What a tragic thing to have happened… Don’t blame urself until the autopsy results confirm cause of death… U’re being too hard on urself at such a hard time…

I am taking that medicine and have been for a while for back pain and my baby is fine, so there’s no reason to try and scare all of us. I know you are going through a rough time but everything happens for a reason.

I’m so sorry to hear about this,but it wasn’t necessarily the tylenol 3 that caused this. I took tylenol 3 throughout my whole pregnancy,prescribed by my dr,and my son is now going to be 16 weeks tomorrow. I would have them investigate into what could have caused it,because it wasn’t necessarily the tylenol. I know a lot of women that have taken that,and more harsh drugs while pregnant,and their babies are fine. I’m so so so sorry for your loss,best wishes,and may god bless you.

I am so sorry for your loss. @ 5 months pregnant I was diagnosed with a perineal abscess and before I was rushed into emergency surgery i was told that I would lose my baby, After surgery my baby’s heartbeat stayed 165 and above, In recovery I was
in so much pain, I was given Morphine through my IV and after my 2 week stay in the hospital i was sent home and had a home nurse come out, every one @ the hospital was amazed that my baby survived the surgery. I also was prescribed tylenol with codeine and took my full prescription. I gave birth to a healthy baby 4 mos. later who is now 9 years old. I am so sorry for your loss but maybe it was not the tylenol that caused your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss, don’t blame yourself for this. Maybe it wasn’t from the Tylenol with codeine and it was something else. Good luck.
